Selection Process
The selection procedure for SSCW (Tech and Non-Tech) includes:
- Shortlisting of Applications based on academic qualifications
- SSB Interview at selection centers (Allahabad, Bhopal, Bangalore, Kapurthala)
- Medical Examination for selected candidates
- Final merit list based on SSB and medical results
- Training at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai
There is no written examination. Candidates are selected based on their performance in the SSB interview and medical fitness.
Training
Selected candidates will undergo training for 49 weeks at the OTA, Chennai. During the training period, cadets will receive a stipend and military training in leadership, tactics, and physical endurance.
On successful completion, candidates are granted a Short Service Commission in the rank of Lieutenant in the Indian Army.
